Region: Marlborough NZ
From the renowned Rapaura subregion on the golden mile in Marlborough New Zealand comes this Map Maker Sauvignon Blanc, a label from the boutique Staete Landt vineyard. A member of the select Integrated Winegrape Program (IWP) the winery is committed to a sustainable and organic approach to viticulture and winemaking.
Map Maker Sauvignon Blanc features tropical fruits with dried hay underlayers. Ideal as an aperitif, it has a 4-star rating from Winestate Magazine. The label name is derived from explorer Abel Tasman, also known as The Map Maker. Staete Landt wines are true single vineyard estate grown wines and the Sauvignon is mainly planted on the stones where they produce the unique flavours that Rapaura is so well known for.
An aromatically intense wine, perfumed with exotic fruit such as pawpaw, passionfruit and nectarines. On the palate the wine is full bodied, well balanced with great complexity and silken texture. This rich wine has attractive mineral characters and European style elegance.
