Winemaking notes: Cold soaked pre-ferment,12 day fermentation, barrel aged in used French hogsheads and barriquesfor 12 months
Colour: Darkpurple
Nose: Red berries, plums and fruitcake with subtle cedaryoak
Palate: A rich, concentrated merlot dominated by flavours of ripe plums and fruitcake, with subtle spicy oak on the finish.
Comments: The mellow, velvety tannins make this a lovely wine for drinking in the short term but cellaring for up to 7 years will be rewarded with a more complex and integrated wine.
