Lindemans Early Harvest Pink Chardonnay

Region   South Eastern Australia.

Chief Winemaker Wayne Falkenberg

Colour Soft sunset pink.

Nose This wine displays an attractive array of tropical fruit flavours with subtle spicy notes.

Palate The palate shows peach, melon and citrus fruits with a creamy mid palate leading to a fresh finish

Variety Chardonnay - with a small component of Shiraz to add colour.

Vintage Conditions  Fruit for this wine was sourced from selected vineyards in South Eastern Australia. The 2009 vintage was characterised by some unusual weather conditions. Below average winter rainfall was followed by a relatively warm and dry spring, which ended with a cool and damp November and December, increasing sub-soil moisture. Warm summer conditions brought on an early vintage which was not dissimilar to 2008.

Early Harvest Pink Chardonnay
2009
In making LINDEMANS Early Harvest, the winemaking team aims to create
wines that are lighter in alcohol and calories, while maintaining varietal
flavour.*
Most white wines produced in Australia sit at 12%-14% alcohol volume and
red wines at 13-15% alcohol volume (and Rose somewhere in between).
However the LINDEMANS Early Harvest range sits between 7.5 and 9.0%
alcohol volume.

LINDEMANS Early Harvest wines are created from selected parcels of
flavour ripe grapes harvested from early ripening regions in South Eastern
Australia. This fruit, coupled with careful winemaking, creates a uniquely
refreshing wine which is at least 25% lighter in alcohol and calories.*
*LINDEMANS 2009 Early Harvest Pink Chardonnay is at least 25% lighter
in alcohol and calories compared to 750ml LINDEMANS 2008 Bin 65
Chardonnay.
